What a delight to wake up to little snow flurries. I did a double take! They had the appearance of ash falling from the sky. The girls got to wake up to the excitement too. Although I didn't have my "bible" time, I was so blessed to just quietly watch...

Note: We live at 1000 ft. and expected much more snow during this season, but praise Him for the sunshine He has given!

 Be still, my soul:
the Lord is on thy side.
Bear patiently
the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God
to order and provide;
In every change,
He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul:
thy best, thy heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways
leads to a joyful end.

  1. Boy, I needed to read those words from the hymn - I am sitting here at work feeling completely worn out. I just want to walk out the door, get in my car, drive home, and sit on my front porch in the sunshine and never come back! Thank you for the reminder that God is in control, that he is here with me and hears the cry of my heart! I will praise him through tax season!

  2. I understand the feeling of wanting to run! Even David did when he said, "Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest." But later contemplates if we cast our burdens on the Lord He will sustain us :) May you continue to have His peace ... May we both continue to throw our burdens on Jesus!
