See The Light: Art Class {Review & Giveaway!}

We love art in the Buckout home. Needless to say, I was very excited to become an affiliate with See The Light and to able to offer you this wonderful DVD!

We recently finished See the Light: Art Class Volume 1.  The art teacher Pat Knepley has a wonderful and friendly personality. Each easy-to-follow lesson is only a few minutes in length. One of the best parts: very limited supplies and no workbooks needed! I was able to purchase the few items at the Dollar Tree for the entire lesson.

See The Light helps children grow and be challenged as an artist no matter what level.
While I was watching Mrs. Pat, I had to resist grabbing a pencil myself!
(Little Mordecai needed to be fed!) :-)

In each lesson she takes a moment to "Draw children to Him".  I was so blessed how she presented biblical principles in a very simple way using art as the springboard. For example, when teaching about "art tool kits" she explained how the Bible is the only tool kit we need for life. Love it!

I would encourage you to take a few moments and cruise their website! They also have Bible Story dvds, an online art class, free printable lesson plans, books, music and much more!!

In Volume 1 we covered the following lessons:
  • Tools of the Trade
  • It All Starts With a Line
  • Contours & Composition
  • Draw What You See
This week we will do the Bonus Lesson: Chalk-it-Easy
I am looking forward to purchasing Volume 2 for our fall curriculum!
