Art Projects- Tiffany Window {review and giveaway!}

Summer has finally arrived in Oregon.
{Last year when we lived in North Carolina, our summer started in May and it was still going when we left in December! Lets just say we were not sun deprived :)}

I have found in these summer Oregon months my kids need structure and instruction. No endless pool hours on NC humid days!

It was perfect timing to try our our new TIFFANY WINDOW Art Project dvd by SEE THE LIGHT. AND also a joy to be able to offer you one FREE ..YAY! How awesome it that???!

The Art Project dvds focus on the history and techniques of specific master artist. On this project we covered the style of Louis Comfort Tiffany. We currently are on our 3rd profile artist and are completely blessed!

Compiled in only about 4 lessons, they are easy to plan and prepare for. Once again, I got everything I needed at the Dollar Tree (a supply list is provided on the back of the video.) I simply started the dvd during our lunch time because my kids listen well when eating :-).

Even if you don't win this giveaway opportunity the Tiffany Window Project. It is worth purchasing! It would be perfect for a homeschool art lesson or a summer fun activity.

Here is the lesson breakdown:
1. Planning your Composition, artist History
2. Rule of Thirds-complete sketch
3. Color Theory
4. Complete the Masterpiece
and no mom, you don't have to do any of the teaching!

Each lesson ranges from 21-28 minutes, plus whatever extra time the kids want to keep working. We kept our working time at lunch over a course of 4 days during one week. Elijah, because he is very detailed artist finished his the following week.

Even though the video is geared for ages 10 and up, I felt it was important to include the other siblings. They all came up with beautiful artwork in their own Tiffany Window style.

(AND I AMIT: I did not resist it this time. I had to give it a go! It was so relaxing to sit and color with my kids again. :( I used to do it all the time when they were 5 and under.)

I want you to know Pat is a wonderful teacher!! The more we watch her, she really does become our "friend"! My kids now say, "listen up!" whenever she reads from the bible(.. I said it a few times and of course now they copy me!) There are only a few scriptures, but each is beautifully incorporated in the lesson.

Watch this preview video of Art Projects to see if it is your cup of tea!
